The Bureau of Policy and Planning (BPP) manages the development of MassDEP program priorities and strategic planning. BPP coordinates the development of the Performance Partnership grant agreement with EPA, develops the annual state program plan, establishes the environmental measures for success used to evaluate the quality of MassDEP programs and oversees information management and information technology efforts within the agency. BPP also assists the Deptuy Commissioner for Policy and Planning in implementing Commissioner's priorities. BPP consists of:

• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Internet Strategy Unit
• Information Technology Office
• Performance Partnership Agreement and Program Planning
