Best Available Control Technology (BACT)

Before issuing its written approval of a Limited Plan Application (LPA) or Comprehensive Plan Application (CPA) for construction, reconstruction or alteration of a facility or process that will result in air contaminant emissions, the Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) must determine the best available (air pollution) control technology (BACT) for the proposal.
