Electronic Submittal of Remedial Monitoring Report

Please note that all Remedial Monitoring Report Transmittals must be submitted electronically to MassDEP [see 310 CMR 40.0027(6)].

The RMR, the transmittal form submitted with the RMR, BWSC105 (IRA), BWSC106 (RAM), BWSC108 (CRA), and BWSC119 (URAM) and the supporting documentation must be submitted electronically.  A paper copy is no longer required.  The Transition Period where RMRs could be submitted either electronically or on paper ended 9/1/07.  RMRs submitted on paper will now be returned to the submitter.

PRPs should contact Paul Locke, by email at Paul.Locke@state.ma.us, if the electronic submittal of the RMR is a hardship.

RMR Data reports in excess of 20 mb should be submitted to the appropriate regional office on a CD.  Please include a copy of the eDEP Submittal Transaction Summary, which is available for printing on the Current Submittal page after the transaction is submitted in eDEP, with the CD.

BWSC 108 Phase IV RMR Exception:  Electronic submittal of Phase IV RMRs is not currently possible.  The expected date of availability is June 2008.   In the interim, complete the Transmittal form and RMR in eDEP as if you were submitting a Phase V instead of a Phase IV.  At the LSP and Client Signature Step, stop, and print the Transmittal form.

    • Use white out (or something similar) and change the check off box in Section B from the Phase V to Phase IV.  Then the LSP and Client can sign the paper form.
    • Once the form is signed, please scan the transmittal form into electronic format.  Next create a CD that includes: the scanned signed transmittal form; the RMR; and all supporting documentation.
    • Submit the paper transmittal form with the original signatures of the LSP and Client and the CD containing the complete submittal to the appropriate regional office.  MassDEP will incorporate the submittal into the upcoming electronic file review process.
