Mouse Click on the radio button for "All Sites" or "Activity & Use Limitations" list. "All Sites" lists all reported waste sites. Activity and Use Limitations (AULs) are a subset of "All Sites". AULs are legal restrictions used in the context of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan to limit future exposure to contaminants remaining at a site. See Guidance on Implementing Activity and Use Limitations for additional information.

This search allows you to retrieve information for particular reportable releases and transition sites by using any of the following fields:

RTN

This field allows you to retrieve sites/releases by entering a 9 digit Release Tracking Number (i.e., 3-0002457 or 1-0012578). It also gives you the ability to query by region for which a pick list is available.

Note: Some RTNs were changed during 2006 due to adjustments to MassDEP's Regional Boundaries.  For information about these changes, go here. 

Site Name/Location Aid

This field will retrieve any site/release name that contains the entered keywords (i.e., a search for "Station" will retrieve "Fire Station", "Gas Station", etc.). Since the search only looks for site names (or parts of site names) as they appear in our database and this may not be the same as the name you associate with the site, this field should be used with caution.  

Town

This field allows you to retrieve sites/releases by town or subtown (for Boston and Barnstable). A pick list is available.

Address

This field will retrieve any street address that contains the entered keywords (i.e., a search for "Main" will retrieve "101 Main Street", "33 Main Avenue", etc.).

Compliance Status

This field allows you to retrieve sites/releases by current compliance status. See Definition page for more detailed information. A pick list is available.

Chemical Type

This field allows you to retrieve sites/releases by chemical type (i.e., "Oil", "Hazardous material" or Both). A pick list is available.
