Asbestos Regulatory Reform Industry Stakeholder Work Group

The Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is developing a proposal to shift its current management and oversight of asbestos abatement activities and to focus limited state resources on the highest priority matters.

As part of this process, MassDEP wants to receive input from building owners, asbestos abatement contractors, waste managers, municipal officials, and others who are affected by these regulations, to ensure that the proposed revisions will be workable in real world situations. More...
