The SWAC provides input to the Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) on solid waste regulations, policies, and programs. In addition, the SWAC serves as a forum for MassDEP to keep interested organizations and individuals up to date about these regulations, policies and programs. The SWAC has 22 members. The SWAC meets four times per year, on the fourth Thursday of January, April, June, and October.
