The Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) held six meetings over the winter to seek comment from citizens, businesses, municipal officials and other stakeholders as it prepares to develop an updated Solid Waster Master Plan (SWMP) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  As a follow-up to the stakeholder meetings, MassDEP has convened seven workgroups to support and inform the development of a new SWMP.  Each workgroup will meet up to three times during late February and March.
