Notice is hereby given that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP or the Department), acting in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 111, Sections 142A through 142E, is seeking public comment on proposed approval of an Application for Verification of GHG Credits (BWP AQ 28), pursuant to 310 CMR 7.00: Appendix B(7), for the following applicant:

Casella Waste Services of Ontario, LLC
1879 Route 5 & 20
Stanley, NY 14561

Specifically, the Department is seeking public comments on the proposed approval of the Application for Verification of GHG Credits generated by flaring landfill gas from Ontario County Landfill in Stanley, NY.

Persons wishing to review the applications and proposed approvals may do so Monday through Friday, during business hours at the Boston office of the Department of Environmental Protection, 1 Winter Street, Boston. In addition, the proposed approval is available on the MassDEP web site at http://www.mass.gov/dep/public/publiche.htm.
