NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Notice is hereby given that the Department of Environmental Protection, acting in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 111, Sections 142A through 142E, is seeking public comment on the proposed approval of an Application for Certification of GHG Credits and the proposed approval of an Application for Verification of GHG Credits, pursuant to 310 CMR 7.00: Appendix B(7), for the following applicant:

Sterling Planet, Inc.
3295 River Exchange Drive, Suite 300
Norcross, GA 30092

Specifically, the Department is seeking public comments on the proposed approval of applications for certification and verification of GHG Credits generated by flaring landfill gas from Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority Landfill in Jackson, SC.

Persons wishing to review the applications and proposed approvals may do so Monday through Friday, during business hours at the Boston office of the Department of Environmental Protection, 1 Winter Street, Boston. In addition, the proposed approval is available on the MassDEP web site at http://www.mass.gov/dep/public/publiche.htm.

Comments will be accepted until May 15, 2009, and should be submitted electronically to climate.strategies@state.ma.us, or mailed or delivered to:
