Proposed Underground Storage Tank Operator Training RegulationsTHE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS Notice is hereby given that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) will hold public hearings on emergency regulations to implement portions of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations (M.G.L. Chapter 21O, Section 4). These emergency regulations create a training program for underground storage tank Class A, B and C operators in accordance with federal law. Operators are required to be trained internally and then Class A and B operators must take and pass a state administered examination. Public hearings will be conducted under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30A on:
Testimony may be presented orally and/or in writing at the public hearings. The period for accepting written comments will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on July 5, 2011.
