Proposed Regulations: Outdoor Hydronic Heaters (Wood-Fired Boilers)

MassDEP has proposed adding new sections to its Air Pollution Control Regulations that would address outdoor hydronic heaters, also known as outdoor wood boilers, installed after the new regulations' effective date and the operation of units installed before the effective date.  Requirements would apply to manufacturers, sellers and owners of outdoor hydronic heaters.  Public hearings have been held. July 3, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline for public comment.
