Decisions from DALA
Since January 2004, the Division of Administrative Law Appeals (DALA) within the Executive Office of Administration and Finance has issued Recommended Final Decisions and certain kinds of Final Decisions in administrative appeals. Those decisions are available on its website at www.mass.gov/dala/decisions.htm

Recommended Final Decisions
Recommended Final Decisions issued by DALA's Administrative Magistrates or MassDEP's Presiding Officers may be adopted, rejected or modified in a Final Decision issued by the Commissioner of MassDEP or his or her designee. Please check to confirm that the substance of a Recommended Final Decision has been adopted in a Final Decision before deciding whether to cite the agency decision. It is good practice when citing a Recommended Final Decision to also refer to the Final Decision that adopts, rejects or modifies the recommendation.

Tentative Decisions
Tentative Decisions may also be followed by a Final Decision that adopts, rejects or modifies the findings of the Tentative Decision. Please check to confirm that the substance of a Tentative Decision has been adopted in a Final Decision before deciding whether to cite the Tentative Decision. It is good practice to refer to the Final Decision that adopts, rejects or modifies a Tentative Decision when citing the Tentative Decision.
