Annual Compliance Fees Contacts
Many DEP permit categories have an associated annual compliance assurance fee (ACF) that companies and individuals with multiple permits may be required to pay. These fees cover MassDEP's costs for monitoring, inspection, technical assistance, and other compliance and enforcement activities and payment of these fees is required to maintain valid permits. For all categories, except those listed under BWSC, MassDEP mails out invoices in November or December of each year. The invoice is based on the valid permits held on July 1st or for Environmental Results Program Certifications, September 15th. Please refer to the attached listing of annual compliance fees, DEP regulations in 310 CMR 4.03 and specific program regulations for more detailed information. Updated November 2010.
