TURA Administrative Council
The six-member Administrative Council on Toxics Use Reduction is responsible for coordinating better state enforcement of laws and regulations intended to reduce chemical use and toxic waste, protect the environment, improve worker safety and safeguard public health. The Council is comprised of the following appointed members or their designees:
- Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs (who chairs the Council)
- Secretary of Economic Development
- Secretary of Public Safety
- Commissioner of Environmental Protection
- Commissioner of Public Health
- Director of Labor and Workforce Development
A 15-member Advisory Committee of stakeholders provides the Council with a forum for discussing TURA implementation issues and problems. |
