Toxics Use Reduction Act/Toxics Release Inventory & Reporting Workshops

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) and Office of Technical Assistance and Technology (OTA) are partnering with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to hold six training sessions on 2007 TURA/TRI reporting and 2008 TURA planning requirements, including new planning options for Resource Conservation Planning and Environmental Management Systems.

Each of the following workshops will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 17, 2008 National Guard Armory Worcester, MA
Thursday, May 1, 2008 Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Plum Island Newburyport, MA
Monday, May 12, 2008 Holyoke Community College Holyoke, MA
Thursday May 15, 2008 Bridgewater State College Bridgewater, MA
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Bristol Community College Fall River, MA
Thursday, June 5, 2008 EPA Regional Laboratory North Chelmsford, MA
Please Note: The training session originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2008, at MassBay Community College in Wellesley was cancelled due to the very low number of registrations received for that date.

- 11:00 Review of New Planning Options & Recent Reporting Changes, MassDEP
- 11:45 Lunch (on your own)
- 1:00 Completing New Plan Summary Forms, OTA
- 1:45 Break
- 2:00 TURA Reporting via eDEP, Including New & Revised Planning Forms
- 4:00 Session Concludes
