The plaza recently reconstructed the access road and reportedly replaced a failing culvert that provides limited tidal exchange to the upstream marsh. It is also reported that the upstream end of the new culvert may currently be blocked by intentionally-placed stones. The Gloucester Conservation Commission is aware of the situation and is reportedly working with landowners to rectify the blocked culvert.
