PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
321 CMR 2.00: Miscellaneous Regulations Relating to Division of Fisheries and Wildlife
Date:
November 24, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife Field Headquarters, 1 Rabbit Hill Road (off North Drive) Westborough.
In accordance with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 11, and Chapter 30A, Section 2, NOTICE is hereby given of a public hearing to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife Field Headquarters, 1 Rabbit Hill Road, Westborough, Mass., relative to rules and regulations pertaining to resident alien minor fishing licenses and correction of certain administrative and typographical errors in license classes.
Plain Language Summary of Hearing Proposal:
The current license class regulation inadvertently omits a provision for licensing of resident alien minor anglers. Resident adults (both alien and citizen) currently purchase an F1 license. The proposal would include both resident citizen and alien minors (15-17) together in Class F2.
Administrative corrections are made regarding the ages for minor trapping licenses (ages 12-17, as per statute, not 15-17), and duplicate sporting licenses (classes S1 to S4).
Proposed Regulatory Language:
