PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
321 CMR 10.90: List of Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern Species

May 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Downtown Campus of Greenfield Community College, 270 Main Street, Greenfield.
In accordance with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131A, Section 4, and Chapter 30A, Section 2, NOTICE is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at the Downtown Campus, Greenfield Community College, 270 Main Street, Greenfield, Mass., to amend rules and regulations relative to the listing, delisting, and name changes of certain plants and animals on the Massachusetts list of endangered, threatened, and special concern species.
Directions--The Downtown Campus of GCC is located on Main Street, in downtown Greenfield. Take exit 26 off I-91 and follow the traffic rotary to Route 2A east toward downtown. Public parking is available at School and Ames Streets and between Chapman and Davis Streets one block away. Please do not park in either of the Wilson's Department Store parking lots.

The proposal would make certain changes to the Massachusetts list and index of endangered, threatened, and special concern species. One invertebrate and 2 plants would change status, and 1 vertebrate, 1 invertebrate, and 5 plants would be deleted from the list. Scientific or common names would be changed for 3 vertebrates, 2 invertebrates, and 4 plants. The "federally threatened" annotation for bald eagle would be deleted in conformance with a change in federal status. Certain administrative changes to addresses are also made.
