PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
321 CMR 3.00: Hunting Particular Game
Date:
August 27, 2009, at 7:00 PM at the Hubbardston Rod & Gun Club,
55 Williamsville Road, Hubbardston.
In accordance with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Sections 5, 63 and 66, and Chapter 30A, Section 2, NOTICE is hereby given of a public hearing to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at the Hubbardston Rod & Gun Club, 55 Williamstown Road, Hubbardston, Mass., to establish rules and regulations relative to the 2009-2010 migratory game bird seasons and methods of take.
Hearing Proposal:
The proposed regulation will set the 2009-2010 migratory game bird seasons (ducks, sea ducks, mergansers, geese, American coot, woodcock, snipe, and rails) in accordance with guidelines as set by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in mid-August. The season dates as proposed by the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife will be presented at the public hearing. The Fisheries & Wildlife Board will vote on the proposal at the conclusion of the hearing in order to meet the filing date as set by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Those seasons (such as the early goose season) which open in September will be set by emergency regulation and are expected to be similar to those from 2008-2009.
