TAGS 'N TROUT PROGRAM

2007

 

This program is a cooperative venture between MassWildlife and participating clubs, business and other groups. A certain number of trout are tagged and stocked into selected water bodies in each MassWildlife District. The tagged trout in each water body are sponsored by a local sportsmen's club, business, or other entity. Any angler who catches a trout with a purple tag will receive some kind of prize from that local cooperator in the Tags 'N Trout Program!

The following, sorted by MassWildlife District, are the water bodies and cooperators who will provide a prize to lucky anglers! If you caught a tagged trout from one of these waters, use the information below to contact the sponsor for your prize!

Clubs, businesses and other groups who would like more information about this program can email MassWildlife at Mass.Wildlife@state.ma.us or call the MassWildlife Field HQ at 508/389-6300. It's best to contact us by late February to arrange for participation in the program.
