MassWildlife Hunter Education Program

Map, Compass & Survival Courses

The Map, Compass and Survival Course is one of the "advanced skills" courses offered by the MA Hunter Education Program. Detailed course description. Courses are traditionally held once/month all day on a Saturday from April - October. All Courses are free of charge.

You will be outdoors part of the day! (Rain or shine) All students must come prepared. Please bring a lunch, snacks, water, a whistle and a 1-gallon zip-lock bag to class. You must be dressed for outdoor activities (i.e. sunglasses, long pants, walking shoes/boots, insect/tick repellent, raingear and bright-colored outer clothing). Courses will occur rain or shine.
