Junior Duck Stamp Traveling Exhibit Schedule

A combination of the top 100 pieces of art will be on exhibit throughout the Commonwealth during 2007-2008. Bring your family and friends to see the terrific works of art by children of all ages! Consider submitting artwork for next year's program!

Some JDS workshops are also available for kids to participate. See offerings below:

February 16, 2008--Junior Duck Stamp Workshop, New Bedford--Interested in trying your hand at entering the Interested in trying your hand at entering the 2008 Junior Duck Stamp contest? Get inspired by the Junior Duck Stamp exhibit at Buttonwood Park Zoo and join artist Maura Conron for this free workshop (included in zoo admission fee) for students in grades K-12. Space is limited and you must pre-register at 508/991-6178 x 22. You will be given the start time of the workshop when you register.

February 18-23, 2008--Junior Duck Stamp Workshop, Easton -- Does your child like to draw and enjoy wildlife? Join children ages 10 and older to learn about wildfowl and how to draw them at Borderland State Park from 3:30pm – 5pm. The class will end with a finished drawing to submit to the Massachusetts Jr. Duck Stamp Contest. Materials will be supplied. Class will be directed by the Park Supervisor, Ellenor Yahrmarkt and two student artists will assist. The instructors will be sharing information about various migrating waterfowl, basic drawing techniques and information on entering the art competition. Students will try different art mediums such as pencil, watercolor, and pastels.There is a $2 parking fee at the park, but the program is free. Please register your child at the park by calling 508/238-6566.
