Current WILD Workshop Offerings
June 27 -- Project WILD Workshop for Educators, Lanesborough Staff at the Mount Greylock State Reservation invite all K-12 educators to participate in an exciting six-hour interdisciplinary hands-on/minds-on workshop focusing on terrestrial wildlife and ecosystems. Participants will actively engage in activities, evaluate materials for unique needs & settings, share experiences with other educators, take home ideas & resources to integrate in to their teaching, and make correlations to national & state content standards. Scout leaders, youth group leaders, and formal & non-formal educators find the materials & workshop experience very valuable. Hours may be used toward obtaining PDPs. July 16-- Project WILD/Aquatic WILD Workshop for Educators, Attleboro -- Interested K-12 educators to participate in an exciting six-hour interdisciplinary hands-on/minds-on workshop focusing on terrestrial and aquatic wildlife and ecosystems at Fisher College. Participants will actively engage in activities, evaluate materials for unique needs & settings, share experiences with other educators, take home ideas & resources to integrate in to their teaching, and make correlations to national & state content standards. Scout leaders, youth group leaders, and formal & non-formal educators find the materials & workshop experience very valuable. Hours may be used toward obtaining PDPs. January 18 -- Project WILD Workshop for Educators, Dorchester Zoo New Englands Franklin Park Zoo (FPZ) invites all K-12 educators to participate in an exciting six-hour interdisciplinary hands-on/minds-on workshop focusing on terrestrial wildlife and ecosystems. Participants will actively engage in activities, evaluate materials for unique needs & settings, share experiences with other educators, take home ideas & resources to integrate in to their teaching, and make correlations to national & state content standards. Scout leaders, youth group leaders, and formal & non-formal educators find the materials & workshop experience very valuable. Hours may be used toward obtaining PDPs. Pre-registration is required by calling the Education department at FPZ (617) 989-3742. The cost for the workshop is $15 per person. Franklin Park Zoo is accessible by MBTA or there is free parking at the Zoo.

Participants will actively engage in activities, evaluate materials for unique needs & settings, share experiences with other educators, take home ideas & resources to integrate in to their teaching, and make correlations to national & state content standards. This workshop will take place at West Hill Dam. Participants will actively engage in activities, evaluate materials for unique needs & settings, share experiences with other educators, take home ideas & resources to integrate in to their teaching, and make correlations to national & state content standards.
