for local info on:
Offices are open during business hours Monday through
Friday and are staffed by fish and wildlife biologists, a land agent,
receptionist and conservation helpers. Call or drop by to see some of
the pamphlets and other information available to you!
Hunting and Fishing licenses may also be purchased at
District Offices or online via MassOutdoors.

Directions
From the Mass Pike:
Take Exit 2.(Lee Exit) Turn right at ramp bottom, west on Rte
20. Follow Rte 20 West to Rt 7 North to a rotary in Pittsfield
center. After the rotary, take Rte 8 north to Rte 9 east. Follow
Rte 9 East for 1/2 mile, and take a right onto 5 Lane Bridge
over river--This is Hubbard Ave. Stay straight on this road
for 3/4 mil. District office is a brown building on the left,
set back off the road.

Directions
From the Mass Pike:
Take the Palmer exit and after the toll booths, bear left on Rte
32. Stay on Rte 32 into Ware Center at the junction of Rte 9 and
32. Take Rte 9 west into Belchertown, passing an entrance to Quabbin
Reservoir and over the Swift River. A large sign for the Hatchery
and District Office is set up at the junction of East St and Rte
9 on your left. Take a left on to East Street, passing the McLaughlin
Hatchery on your left after 1/2 mile and continue for another
mile to the District office which will be on your left.
From the West on Rte 9:
Take Rte 9 East through Belchertown and the junction of Rte
202. Pass the main Quabbin entrance on your left, go to the bottom
of the hill and bear right on to East Street. There is a large
sign for both the Hatchery and District office. Pass the McLaughlin
Hatchery on your left after 1/2 mile and continue for another
mile to the District office which will be on your left.
From the East on Rte 9:
Take Rte 9 west into Belchertown, passing an entrance to Quabbin
Reservoir and over the Swift River. A large sign for the Hatchery

From the North:
Follow Rte 2 to Rte 202 south (in Orange). Take Rte 202 south
to Rte 9 east in Belchertown (at traffic lights bear left) Pass

both the Hatchery and District office. Pass the McLaughlin Hatchery
on your left after 1/2 mile and continue for another mile to the
District office which will be on your left.

Directions
From Rte 290--East or Westbound:
Take the Exit (in Shrewsbury) for Rte 140 North towards W. Boylston.
Go straight through the traffic lights at the junction of Rt 70
and 140, staying on Rte 140 North. Pass by Wachusett Reservoir
on your right, up a hill and at the top is a sign directing you
in to the office driveway on your right. (Temple Street is Rte
140. Distance from Rte 290 to office is 5 miles.)
From Leominster/Fitchburg:
Take Rte I-190 South to Rte 140. Follow directions below.
From the North, Westminster/Gardner:
Take Rte 2 to Rte 140 South, passing under Rte I-190 and into
West Boylston center. (Rte 12 and 140 south) At the traffic lights,
bear left (south) on Rte 140 and after 2 miles, District sign
and driveway will be on your left. (Rte 140 is Temple Street)

Directions
From the North:
Route 495S to exit 31 (Littleton Common) Route 2A and 119 run
together, take that towards Acton, to lights at Route 27, take
that left onto Route 27N, come up a half mile to Harris Street
on the left, continue on Harris street to number 68 on the right.
From the South:
Route 495N to Route 2E to exit 42, take a left at the end of the
ramp onto Route 27N, go to lights where Routes 2A and 119 meet
Route 27, stay straight on Route 27N, come up a half mile to Harris
Street on the left, continue on Harris Street to number 68 on
the right.

From Rte 195-- New Bedford/Fall River Area
Route 195 to Route 25 south. Take Exit 3 (formerly named Exit
2), which is the last exit before the Bourne Bridge. At
Buzzards Bay Rotary (with CVS and Gas Station) take first right
after the Gas Station onto Head-of-the -Bay Road. Go 1 mile on
Head of The Bay Road. Take a right onto Bournedale Road. Drive
seven tenths of a mile (0.7 miles) on Bournedale Road (past Grazing
Fields Farm). The District Office is on the right (behind a chain
link fence and just before crossing over the Highway)
From Rte 495--Taunton Area
Take Route 495 south and continue on to Route 25. Take Exit 3
(formerly named Exit 2), the last exit before the Bourne Bridge.

From Rte 3--Boston Area
Take Exit 1A on Route 6 east (This exit is just before the
Sagamore Bridge flyover). Follow this road along the mainland
side of the Cape Cod Canal for several miles to the Buzzards Bay
Rotary. At Buzzards Bay Rotary (with CVS and gas station) take
first right after the gas station onto Head-of-the-Bay Road. Go
1 mile on Head-of-the-Bay Road. Take a right onto Bournedale Road.
Go seven tenths of a mile (0.7 miles) on Bournedale Road (past
Grazing Fields Farm). The District office is on the right (behind
a chain link fence and just before crossing over Rte. 25).
