Application Information

How to Apply

Annual application periods will be announced and publicized here and on the Comm-Pass website. To locate the Landowner Incentive Program RFR, please use the Comm-Pass Solicitation Search feature.

The applicant must supply MassWildlife with 5 copies of each of the following:

  1. LIP cover page PDF icon
  2. LIP Management Plan PDF icon
  3. Budget Form PDF PDF icon (with quotes from contractors)
  4. Required Map(s).

Additionally, 1 copy of the following forms from the Comm-Pass website are required:

  1. Taxpayer Identification Form (W)9
  2. Northern Ireland Notice
  3. Standard Contract Form
  4. Vendor Authorized Signature Verification Form
  5. Consultant Vendor Mandatory Submissions Form
  6. Terms and Conditions Form. Any application that does not contain all of these documents will not be considered. Any additional information that relates to the LIP Ranking Criteria should also be provided. Completed applications are due prior to the announced deadline posted in the RFR. How will Projects be Selected?

Applications will be reviewed by the LIP Technical Committee staff for the overall benefit to rare species and their habitats. Those that meet the criteria developed specifically for LIP will be ranked based on the project's potential benefit to target species or habitat. Criteria can be found by clicking the link above.

Funding decisions will be made based on the ranking score of the proposal and final review and recommendations of the LIP Advisory Committee.
