Wildlife Managment Areas (WMA) are open to many kinds of wildlife-related recreation; fishing, hunting, trapping, bird and nature observation, boating and hiking to name a few. Certain regulations apply to allowable activities. Information on other permitted and restricted activities on WMAs.

Wildlife Conservation Easements (WCE) are properties where the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife has purchased the development rights and public recreational access. Though the land is still retained by the original owner, the property is open for wildlife related recreation and the Wildlife Management Area regulations apply to the activities on the property. In some cases, there are additional restrictions. Check with the landowner or the Division District office that oversees the property.
