MESA Fee Schedule

Review fees are categorized by the acreage of disturbance* associated with a proposed project. All checks should be made payable to Comm. of MA - NHESP

*Disturbance means direct physical disturbance of the land surface or waterbody, soil and/or vegetation.

NOTE: When submitting a streamlined NOI application, use the "MESA Project Reviews" schedule below.

Complex (More than 20 acres of disturbance or project requires wetlands variance)	$ 4000.00	60 days from determination of complete filing
Linear (Projects greater than 1 mile in length)	$ 4000.00 per Priority Habitat intersected	60 days from determination of complete filing
Exemptions from Review for Projects or Activities in Priority Habitat (321 CMR 10.14)

CONSERVATION PERMITS (321 CMR 10.23 (4)) NOTE: The need for a Conservation Permit will be determined during the Project Review. Please do not send a fee for a Conservation Permit until Project Review has been completed.

All Fees are as approved by the Secretary of Administration and Finance and can be found at 801 CMR 4.00.

Please note: Government entities are not exempt from filing fees. However, certain projects and activities are exempt from review.
