Best Bets For Catfish

Keep in mind that the listed waterbodies below aren't the only places where big fish are found. Not all anglers submit their big catches to MassWildlife and big fish lurk in many other bodies of water!

Channel Catfish

Only one waterbody is listed above because the vast majority (87%) of Channel cat "pin fish" have come from the Connecticut River. There are at least 2 dozen other waterbodies in the state where large fish have also been documented.
