REPORT YOUR TURKEY HARVEST ONLINE THIS SPRING:

Turkey hunters are reminded they can report their turkey harvest online for the 2013 spring season. More details will be provided but here are some initial online harvest report instructions:
  • As in the past, you must still immediately tag your bird after harvesting it.
  • BEFORE the bird is processed for food or for taxidermy, you must report your bird within 48 hours of harvest on the MassFishHunt site.
  • After submitting your report, turkey hunters must write the MassFishHunt assigned confirmation number on the turkey tag that is on the bird. (The confirmation number is the official seal.)
  • The tag must remain on the bird until it is processed for food or delivered to a taxidermist.

More information about reporting or checking your harvest online can be found in the 2013 Guide to Hunting, Fishing and Trapping on pages 8-11 or at the following web link: http://www.eregulations.com/massachusetts/huntingandfishing/online-game-checking/

Turkey hunters also still have the option of bringing their bird to a traditional game check station. An updated list of game check stations will be posted later in April.
