Furbearer Check Stations

Furbearer check stations are generally operational from November – April. Actual checking hours or days may vary by station. Be sure to call ahead before bringing pelts in for sealing.

Fox, coyote, fisher, mink, river otter and beaver pelts must be sealed within four working days from the end of the season for each species.

Coyotes may also be checked at some other locations--see the Quick Links box on the right.

Bobcat pelts must be tagged within four working days from the date harvested.

Pelt sealing is not required for weasel, raccoon, opossum, skunk or muskrat.
