Current landing and dealer reporting information indicates that the commercial quota for the 2005 summer flounder (fluke) fishery will be reached by Thursday, Novmber 17, 2005. Therefore, effective at 0001 hours on Friday, November 18, 2005 commercial fishermen are prohibited from landing or possessing fluke. MarineFisheries is taking this action in accordance with 322 CMR 6.22.

The 2006 commercial fluke fishery will begin on January 1, 2006 with a 2,500-lb. daily trip limit.
