MARINEFISHERIES RE-OPENS ADDITIONAL AREAS TO SHELLFISH HARVEST

Effective at sunrise on Wednesday, July 20th, areas in Massachusetts Bay from Point Allerton in Hull to the Marshfield/Duxbury line (Shellfish Growing Areas MB:12 to a portion of MB:2), and from the NH/MA state boundary to the Manchester/Gloucester town line (Shellfish Growing Areas N:1 to N:14) will re-open to harvest of shellfish, except surf clams, ocean quahogs, carnivorous snails, and whole sea scallops and with roe-on for direct human consumption subject to local rules and regulations. Reopened areas classified as CONDITIONALLY APPROVED are open subject to the classification conditions. The following map details the open and closed areas as of July 20, 2005.
