MarineFisheries Advisory
CLARIFICATION THAT MARINE FISHERIES ADVISORY COMMISSION WILL DISCUSS & APPROVE WHETHER BLACK SEA BASS, SCUP, FLUKE AND INSHORE NET PROPOSALS ARE INCLUDED IN
FUTURE PUBLIC HEARING AGENDAS -
No hearings to take place as part of 12/6/07 business meeting
It has come to the attention of the Division of Marine Fisheries (MarineFisheries) that clarification is needed on two actions items listed for tomorrow’s Marine Fisheries Advisory Commission meeting: public hearings regarding proposed regulations for 1) black sea bass, scup and fluke and 2) inshore net fisheries. The Commission will be discussing and approving whether these issues are to be included in upcoming public hearing agendas. Tomorrow’s meeting will not be a public hearing to accept comments on these issues.
MarineFishieries will advertise future public hearings via the MarineFisheries Listserv, MarineFisheries website, local newspapers, and the Massachusetts Register. The Division apologizes for any confusion, but again there are no hearings that will take place at tomorrow’s MFC business meeting.
Further information on tomorrow’s agenda can be found online at: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dmf/marinefisheriesnotices/mfcmeetings.htm
