Under the provisions of M.G.L. Ch 30A and pursuant to the authority found in M.G.L. Ch. 130 ss. 17, 17A, 80 and 104, Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) and the Marine Fisheries Advisory Commission (MFAC) have scheduled hearings on the following proposed regulations for management of Atlantic sea herring:

1. Accept comments on DMF proposals to amend commercial sea herring regulations (322 CMR 9.00), including:
   1. no-fishing days and quota triggers for fishing in Management Area 1A in comply with ASMFC annual specifications and state agreements for extending the Area 1A quota throughout the fishing year; and
   2. an allowance for vessels to land or possess up to 2,000-lbs. of herring in exemption of closed periods.

A Public hearing has been scheduled for:
