As specified by 322 CMR 5.04 the Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) has scheduled a public comment period on the MarineFisheries proposal to adopt an 180-day open fishing season for northern shrimp from December 1, 2008 through May 29, 2009 as approved by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (ASMFC) Northern Shrimp Section at their November 7, 2008 season-setting meeting and public hearing. Unless otherwise notified by the Director, annual specifications as approved by the ASMFC Northern Shrimp Section shall become effective on December 1, 2008. Contact DMF for further details.
