NOAA Fisheries has reported that the 2009 Winter II period (November –December) commercial fishery quota has been harvested. Therefore commercial fishermen are prohibited from landing or possessing scup beginning at 0001 hours on Wednesday, December 9th through December 31, 2009. 

The 2010 Winter 1 period (January – April) commercial scup fishery is scheduled to open on January 1, 2010.
