THIRD LANDING DAY ADDED TO
SEA HERRING FISHERY IN MANAGEMENT AREA 1A

The Division of Marine Fisheries (MarineFisheries) is providing this notice of regulatory measures in effect for the 2009 sea herring fishery in Management Area 1A (see map below):

  • Three open fishing days (Monday thru Wednesday) for sea herring harvested from Management Area 1A while quota remains available.
  • Vessels participating in other fisheries may retain an incidental catch of herring that does not exceed more than 2,000 lbs of herring per trip.
