COMMERCIAL BLACK SEA BASS FISHERY TO CLOSE
EFFECTIVE MONDAY, AUGUST 16
The Director has determined 100% of the Commonwealth’s 2010 black sea bass fishery quota (228,619 lbs.) will be reached by Monday, August 16, 2010. The fishery will close to commercial fishermen on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 11:59 PM when it shall become unlawful for commercial fishermen to land or possess black sea bass. The commercial black sea bass fishery will resume on January 1, 2011.
