The 2012 commercial summer flounder quota (868,226 lbs.) will be harvested by the end of the fishing day on Monday, August 27, 2012.  The fishery will be closed from Tuesday, August 28, 2012 through January 31, 2013, unless otherwise notified or authorized. 

Regulations state the 2013 Period I fishery will open on February 1, 2013 with a 500 lb trip limit for net gears.  DMF will be discussing the continuance of the 2,000 lb Trip Limit Commercial Winter Fluke Pilot Program.  Pending the outcome of this discussion, permit holders will be notified about how and when to obtain a Pilot Program Letter of Authorization.
