Effective today, May 1, 2012, the 2,500 lb incidental loligo squid commercial trip limit has expired and, unless otherwise notified, vessels possessing and landing loligo squid in the waters of the Commonwealth are not subject to a trip limit.  It shall be unlawful for vessels to fish for loligo squid with small-mesh otter trawls, as specified at 322 CMR 8.07, beginning on June 10, 2012 through April 23, 2013.
