2012 PERIOD I SUMMER FLOUNDER (FLUKE) TRIP LIMIT
TO BE LOWERED TO 100 LBS ON SUNDAY, February 19, 2012

The commercial fluke landings are projected to reach 25% (217,056 lbs.) of the state’s annual Period I allocation by Saturday, February 18, 2012.  Effective Sunday, February 19, 2012 through June 9, 2012, it shall be unlawful for any commercially permitted vessel to possess more than 100-lb of fluke during any 24-hour period (322 CMR 6.22(2)(c)(3)). The 100-lb trip limit also applies to all vessels participating in the 2011-2012 Period Winter Fluke Pilot Fishery.
