The Massachusetts Marine Fisheries Advisory Commission approved a 50,000 lb trip limit for the federal Winter Period I (January 1 – April 30) scup fishery.  This trip limit goes into effect immediately and will be reduced to 1,000 lbs per trip once 80% of the Winter I allocation (10,071,646 lbs) is harvested.  This action conforms to the federal rules for the Winter I scup fishery.
