River Restore

Neponset River Restoration, Milton and Boston

Outreach and Public Participation

Riverways has organized and facilitated community meetings on anadromous fish passage and ecological restoration, including a "conceptual rendering” process to present visual simulations of restoration alternatives, including dam removal and dam breaching. Outreach activities sponsored by Riverways to build community understanding of options to restore anadromous fish and aquatic habitat include presentations on the ecology of the Neponset River, canoe trips, and guided walking tours.
