Remediation of Sediment Contamination

The U.S. Geological Survey is collaborating with Riverways to determine the extent of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) contamination in the sediment, water column, and fish of the lower Neponset River and estuary.  Riverways is leading efforts to evaluate traditional and innovative technologies and approaches to achieve ecological restoration and contaminant remediation in the lower Neponset River.
