River Restore

Neponset River Restoration, Milton and Boston

River Revitalization

Neighborhoods, municipalities, community organizations, and state and federal agencies have a unique opportunity to come together and collaborate on “restoring” the river and river corridor in a broad and inclusive manner – restoring ecological functions and anadromous fish, restoring salt marsh in the estuary, planning the expansion of the popular Neponset River greenway from the estuary to the freshwater reaches of the river, and determining land uses in the river corridor as properties transform from industrial/commercial to residential and open spaces.
