DOR 360, the program I launched last year to engage and communicate with our stakeholders, is in full swing. The Advisory Council – a cornerstone of the program - has been chosen and will meet soon. We had a great response to our call for applicants for the Advisory Council as you know and narrowing it down to just a few was as difficult as we anticipated. We chose a really great group of individuals who will bring a diversity of issues and feedback from the constituents they represent. Represented on the Council is big business and small business, tax practitioners, minority business, the non-profit community (they do pay taxes!) and the Council on Aging to name a few. Be sure to check out the roster of Advisory Council members.
The agenda for the first meeting on January 30 will be finalized within the next few days. The Council members offered great suggestions on issues they would like to discuss, which is exactly what we hoped would happen. Two of the topics we are sure to discuss are customer service and other communications issues and dispute resolution – the Council members indicated these were hot topics. We may add to that list as we finalize the meeting agenda.
