Purpose of Grant
EEC will award grants to both formal and informal early education and care programs from across the five EEC regions to develop and replicate Innovative Preschool Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Curricula for use in early education programs for preschool children from 2 years and 9 months until they are kindergarten eligible. Ultimately, EEC seeks to make Preschool STEM education a sustainable practice in the early education and care field. EEC recognizes Innovative curriculum as having the following elements; project based learning models, hands-on experimentation and learning that supports natural inquiry.
This is a competitive grant. The grant is open to both formal and informal child care organizations. Partnerships can be developed between child care agencies/educators, and other community based organizations if so desired. EEC expects to award funds to between 10 and 20 vendors that are able to provide all of the required services in this Grant Application.
