Grant Description & Purpose

Through this renewal Grant Application, EEC will award grants to existing FY2014 EPS Grantees to provide professional development opportunities and services that support early education and out of school time educators to gain knowledge and skills which they can apply to practice through completion of multiple opportunities. These professional development opportunities must be aligned with the MA Quality Rating and Improvement System and EEC Core Competencies. The core areas of the grant include: educator and provider pathways, coaching and mentoring in support of matriculation or competency development, and competency development.

Through intentional professional development, EEC intends to focus its resources:

  • to support educators in attaining degrees and/or otherwise developing competency, and
  • to support providers in achieving/maintaining accreditation, meeting QRIS standards, and upward progress on the QRIS system.

Responses to this Grant Application (RFR) are due to EEC by 4:00 PM on May 21, 2014. Please see the Grant Application (RFR) for a timeline of additional dates relevant to responding to this Grant Application (RFR).

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible to apply for funding through this renewal Grant Application, entities must be an FY2014 Educator and Provider Support Grantee that has satisfied all requirements of the FY2014 Educator and Provider Support Grant and be in good standing with the Department of Early Education and Care. Failure to satisfy all of the requirements of the FY2014 Educator and Provider Support Grant will make a grantee ineligible to receive FY2015 funding.
