Grant Description & Purpose

EEC is pleased to announce the FY2016 Head Start State Supplemental Amendment. This is the 2nd year of the two year contract that was released in FY 2015. The Massachusetts Head Start State Supplemental Grant aims to support the development and creation of a system of quality early education and care. In this system, HS and EHS programs are key partners in supporting and enhancing the Department of Early Education and Care's (EEC) broader commitment to ensure that all children and families have access to the full array of Head Start services.

Responses to this Grant Amendment are due to EEC by 4:00 PM on April 6, 2015.

Eligible Applicants

Vendors who received grant awards through the statewide FY2015 Head Start State Supplemental Grant Application are eligible to apply for these funds. 

Timeline

1. Grant Amendment Release/Posting: March 9, 2015

2. Submission Deadline: Applicants must submit Amendments to: EECSubmission@massmail.state.ma.us April 6, 2015 by 4:00 PM

3. Bidders are Notified of Awards: May 15, 2015 (estimated)

Application Submission Information

In accordance with the submission requirements detailed below, all required documents, including the online application, budget workbook, narrative questions, attachments, and fiscal forms must be received at EEC’s Central Office by 4:00 PM on April 6, 2015.

In order to see different sections of the Online Application, you need to login first with a brand new password. You can create a PDF document of each section without completing the application. This will allow you to see each section before completing it.  You can print and save each section to your computer to share this information with others if needed. 

The online portion of the Grant Application includes the following information that must be submitted online and printed as a PDF document. Note: A PDF document is created once an Applicant has clicked the Submit button of the Online Application.

MA Standard Administrative Forms

Grantees must also complete and mail one original packet of the following forms with their Grant Application response (unless applicant already has these documents on file with the Commonwealth of MA)

All of the following documents below must be submitted:

  • by mail with one (1) original (all signatures must be in blue ink) and two (2) copies:
    • The PDF document generated by the Online Application
      • With original signature on the Cover Page (Part 11) 
    • Required Grant Forms
      • Lead Agency Indirect Cost Approval Letter (if applicable)
      • Subcontractor Indirect Cost Approval Letter (if applicable)
  • Electronically:
    • Required Grant Forms
      • Lead Agency Indirect Cost Approval Letter (if applicable)
      • Subcontractor Indirect Cost Approval Letter (if applicable)
  • Please Note: The Required Grant Forms must be submitted as hard copies and submitted electronically, as these do not print as part of the PDF document.  Grant applications will be considered incomplete if both hard copies and electronic copies are not received.
