Early intervention, transition planning, resources and general information about special education.

Early Intervention provides family-centered services to help children who qualify to develop the skills they will need to continue to grow into happy and healthy members of the community. This service is provided by the Early Intervention Program within the Department of Public Health.

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) oversees preschool special education and transition from Early Intervention and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) oversees Kindergarten through Grade 12 and transition to post-secondary life.
